Pregnancy (Antenatal) Pilates:
Reformer Pregnancy Pilates is great way to promote strength, mobility, flexibility, good posture and overall cardiovascular fitness. We focus on improving function of the pelvic floor and lower abdominal muscles. Exercises are specifically designed for you as your body changes and can help to reduce pelvic pain and joint discomfort. Our classes are a great meeting place for mums to be in a welcoming and relaxing environment.
The Reformer is ideal for pregnancy Pilates as its versatility gives so many options for exercising. It will always be both fun and challenging.
Postnatal Pilates is ideal when returning to exercise after the birth of your new baby. We are offering two different classes so your specific needs will be met. Level 1 will focus on accommodating those with pelvic girdle pain, continence issues and diastasis recti (separation of the abdominals). Level 2 is aimed at those already back to exercise and will focus on further building strength and improving postural alignment. Of course your baby is welcome and no previous Pilates experience is required for either level.
You can discuss with the Physiotherapist which class is most suitable for you.

The optional 1-hour individual physiotherapy assessment gives you the chance to let us know if you have any specific problems and to ensure you are safe to enter the Pilates class. We assess your individual needs, strengths, weaknesses, areas of tightness and any injuries or pain. This allows us to tailor the classes and make them specific to your personal needs, abilities and goals. We also use this assessment to introduce you to the basic elements of Pilates. This ensures safety and correct technique with the basic Pilates exercises allowing you to get the most out of the class.
* We do recommend that you get clearance from your GP and/or your obstetrician before you sign up.
Please note that you will find all courses under ENROLLMENTS in the booking system.
